I resisted making a joke about how the fog was really Otaku Funk. Too easy.
Otakon, for those not in the know, is one fun time of a convention, held this Aug. 8-10 at the Baltimore Convention Center. The Artist Alley is in a nice, funk-free area with working air conditioning to keep the air breathable. I myself will be at Booth A-1 (because it’s how steak is done).
It’s also fairly pirate friendly, even with a heavy dose of ninjas. Then again, I do believe the great debates of Pirate vs. Ninja are officially played out, so it’s now officially OK to go back to enjoying both. For example, I’m still quite the fan of Dr. McNinja, and I read Naruto on a weekly basis.
So mark your calendars, people, and I’ll pillage you there.
